DotA 6.80 Leaked Changelog!

Dota 6.80 Beta Changelog

This isn't the official changelog and no one confirmed this! The update includes some buffes, nerfs and balances to some heroes. The item update includes price changes. Read the full changelog bellow!


- Aphotic Shield cast range increased from 500 to 550

Ancient Apparition
- Movement Speed increased from 295 to 315
- Enemies killed during the Frostbite debuff from Ice Blast now deal their remaining health before they shattered as composite damage in a 275 AoE

- Base attack time decreased from 1.45 to 1.4
- Mana Void's AoE is now based on the target's missing mana (0.3/0.45/0.6 AoE for each point of mana missing)

- When Counter Helix procs, Axe turns magic immune for 0.1 seconds while he spins
- Culling Blade bonus attack and movement speed increased from 40% to 50%

- Beastmaster can now have up to 3 summons simultaneously, either 2 hawks and a boar or 2 boars and a hawk
- Greater Hawk vision decreased from 1600/1200 to 1000/1000
- Greater Boar now has 375 movement speed

- Thirst stacks last for 2 seconds after the target is dead
- Casting Rupture on an enemy now instantly gives Bloodseeker one stack of Thirst for the duration of Rupture (if that Hero's health goes below 50% it still gives another stack)
- Rupture now blocks healing equal to the damage it has done to the target (for example, a level 2 Rupture will block the heal from a Mekansm, but if the target hasn't moved, all healing after that will work normally)

Bounty Hunter
- Shadow Walk amplifies damage Bounty Hunter takes by 10%

- Drunken Haze mana cost decreased from 50 to 35/40/45/50
- All elements from Primal Split now deal Hero damage type and have Hero armor type
- Earth's Pulverize chance increased from 20% to 40/45/50%
- Fire's Permanent Immolation damage increased from 15/30/45 to 30/45/60

- Enabled in Captain's Mode
- Spin Web now stores up to 3 web charges. Spin Web can be cast with no cooldown until it runs out of charges. One charge is replenished every 25 seconds
- Spin Web AoE decreased from 900 to 600
- Spin Web AoE increases over time after it has been placed (40 units every 5 seconds, for a maximum AoE of 1000)
- Spin Web regen and movement speed bonuses now affect all of Broodmother's controlled units
- Spiderling armor increased by 2
- Fixed Poison damage per second from multiple Spiderlings and Spiderites not stacking with each other
- Fixed Poison damage being lethal

Centaur Warrunner
- Stampede cooldown decreased from 120/90/60 to 90/75/60
- Return Strength bonus damage increased from 26%/34%/42%/50% to 30%/45%/60%/75%

Chaos Knight
- Phantasm now has a random cooldown between 80 and 150 seconds

- Armor reduced by 1
- Penitence mana cost rescaled from 100 to 50/65/85/100
- Test of Faith mana cost increased from 175 to 200
- Test of Faith teleport is now a channeled ability with a channeling time of 4/3.75/3.5/3.25 seconds
- Test of Faith no longer has a teleport delay on Heroes - the Hero is instantly sent back to base after the channeling is finished

- Base attack time increased from 1.7 to 1.8
- Rocket Flare now has a sub-ability that can be used to detonate the rocket instantly mid-flight.
- Vision given by Rocket Flare decreases over time until the end of its duration (decreases by 60 units per second)

Crystal Maiden
- Movement speed decreased from 280 to 275

Dark Seer
- Ion Shell cooldown decreased from 10 to 10/9/8/7

- Level 4 Poison Touch now does a 33% slow for one second, then a 66% slow for one second, then a 100% slow for one second and then stun for 1 second
- Shadow Wave damage AoE increased from 185 to 225
- Shallow Grave now uses an instant cast point
- Shallow Grave cooldown decreased from 60/45/30/15 to 30/25/20/15

Death Prophet
- Armor increased by 1
- Crypt Swarm damage increased from 100/175/250/300 to 125/175/275/325
- Witchcraft bonus movement speed increased from 5%/10%/15%/20% to 7%/13%/19%/25%
- Exorcism now has a 1.2 second cast time before it is activated

- Glimpse cooldown decreased from 65/50/35/20 to 35/30/25/20

Drow Ranger
- Turn rate improved from 0.6 to 0.8
- Precision Aura cooldown decreased from 120 to 90

- Enchant Totem now has a cast point of 0.35

Earth Spirit
- Turn rate increased from 0.6 to 0.8
- Geomagnetic Grip cast range decreased from 1400 to 1200
- Geomagnetic Grip now pulls targets other than Stone Remnants for only half the distance
- Boulder Smash now deals no damage if a Stone Remnant isn't used

Elder Titan
- Movement speed decreased from 315 to 295
- Astral Spirit cooldown increased from 16 to 18
- Astral Spirit now instantly returns back if it moves more than 2400 distance away from Elder Titan
- Bonus movement speed from heroes hit by Astral Spirit increased from 5% to 6%
- Natural Order is now split into two different auras. Elder Titan hold the armor reduction part of the aura, and his Astral Spirit holds the magic damage amplification of the aura. Enemies can be affected by both of the auras at the same time.
- Earth Splitter cooldown rescaled from 100 to 115/105/95

Ember Spirit
- Flame Guard is no longer dispelled after it has absorbed enough magic damage, but will deal 50% less damage per second.

- Nature's Attendants can be cast again during its duration (no manacost, can be used only once per cast) to make the summoned wisps follow and heal another friendly unit instead of Enchantress

Faceless Void
- If an enemy Hero dies in Cronosphere, its ability and item cooldowns are paused until it respawns

- Base strength decreased by 4
- Rocket Barrage cooldown increased from 7/6.5/6/5.5 to 8/7.5/7/6.5
- Homing Missile now deals half of its damage to enemies in a 275 AoE when it hits an enemy, or is destroyed mid-flight
- Homing Missile flight delay now decreases as the ability is leveled up, from 3 seconds to 3/2.5/2/1.5
- Call Down's first missile impact now has 350 AoE (second missile AoE is still 450)
- Enemies can now see Call Down's AoE indicator

- Enabled in Captain's Mode
- Inner Vitality cast range increased from 450 to 550

- Alacrity now increases movement speed by 3% for every point in Wex
- Tornado now has a base AoE of 150 and increases by 25 for every point in Wex

- Spirits can be targeted on an allied Hero to make them orbit around that Hero instead of Io

- Dual Breath attack speed slow is now the same as its movement speed slow (from 20% to 30%)
- Macropyre cooldown decreased from 60 to 27

- Normal attacks from Juggernaut during Omnislash can no longer be evaded

Keeper of the Light
- Mana Leak now drains 10/12/14/16 mana from the target in addition to the 3.5%/4%/4.5%/5% for every 100 units it moves
- Mana Leak range increased from 550/700/850/1000 to 575/750/900/1050

- Pulse Nova AoE increased from 450 to 500.
- If an enemy Hero is killed by Pulse Nova, the corpse will pulse for 5 seconds, applying the current level of Pulse Nova damage in a 350 AoE. Damage from multiple Pulse Novas does not stack.

- Chain Frost no longer slows magic immune units
- Frost Blast cooldown increased from 8 to 10

- Lifesteal from items/auras or Open Wounds no longer recover the damage dealt by Feast

- Dragon Slave cooldown decreased from 8.5 to 7
- Light Strike Array now deals damage and destroys trees in a 335 AoE (stun AoE stays the same)

- Feral Impulse is now global
- Shapeshift now decreases Lycan's attack point to 0.3 and improves turn rate to 1.0

- Shockwave AoE now increases by 10 for each 100 units it travels

- All magic damage from Medusa turns into Pure damage against units in Stone Form
- Stone Form duration increased from 3 to 3/3.25/3.5

- Geostrike now has an active ability that a Meepo can use to dig underground and hide itself for 0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds. The hidden Meepoes cannot be targeted by any other abilities except for Poof and AoE damage still hits them. Has a cooldown of 15 seconds and a manacost of 50
- Earthbind can no longer be removed by magic immunity, but new nets cannot be applied on magic immune units
- Fixed Geostrike damage not going through magic immunity

- Cast point decreased from 0.25 to 0
- Replicate cast range increased from 700/1100/1500 to 950/1250/1500
- Replicate cooldown decreased from 80 to 60/40/20
- Replicate can now create multiple illusions instead of only one
- Replicate damage increased from 50% to 50%/75%/100%
- Morph Replicate is now a separate ability that is targeted on a Replicate to take its position
- Morph Replicate mana cost decreased from 150 to 100
- If there is more than one Replicate alive, casting Morph Replicate on one destroys them all

Naga Siren
- Rip Tide AoE increased from 350 to 400
- Song of the Siren AoE increased from 1250 to 1350
- Song of the Siren requires 2.5 seconds to grow to its full AoE. The initial AoE is 450 and grows by 360 per second

Nature's Prophet
- Intelligence growth decreased from 2.9 to 2.4
- Enemies now see Teleportation target location on the mini-map

- Movement speed increased from 290 to 305
- Death Pulse now hits enemies who are invisible or in the fog of war
- Death Pulse AoE increased from 475 to 525
- Killing an enemy with Aghanim's upgraded Reaper's Scythe increases the enemy's next respawn time by 10/13/16 seconds

Night Stalker
- Base attack time increased to 1.85
- Hunter in the Night decreases Night Stalker's base attack time to 1.7/1.65/1.6/1.55 during the night
- Aghanim's Scepter upgraded Darkness now decreases enemy vision by 35%

Nyx Assassin
- Cast point decreased from 0.4 to 0.3
- Spiked Carapace now uses Nyx Assassin's cast point
- Vendetta bonus movement speed decreased from 16%/18%/20% to 10%/15%/20%

Ogre Magi
- Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast stun durations increased from 1.5 to 1.5/1.6/1.7/1.8
- Multicast now refreshes Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast stuns in 0.1 second intervals instead of 0.3
- Multicast now decreases Ignite's cooldown by 2/4/6

- Base intelligence increased by 4
- Intelligence growth increased to from 1.8 to 2.2
- Units affected by Repel now apply the current level of Degen Aura slow around them
- Using Repel on an enemy unit now applies the current level of Degen Aura slow on them
- Degen Aura attack/movement slow increased from 7%/14%/21%/28% to 13%/18%/23%/28%
- Guardian Angel cooldown reduced from 150 to 130 (Aghanim's reduces it further down to 110)

Phantom Assassin
- Base damage increased by 6
- Stifling Daggers that crit now slow for 2/3/4 additional seconds
- Phantom Strike bonus attack speed is no longer lost when changing targets. The buff stays sticky on the target and resumes when you attack it again
- Phantom Strike duration increased from 4 to 5

Queen of Pain
- Sonic Wave now disarms enemies inside the ability's starting AoE for 2/2.5/3 seconds
- Sonic Wave cooldown decreased from 135 to 125/115/105 (90/60/40 with Aghanim's Scepter)

- Attack range increased from 475 to 500
- Unstable Current slow duration increased from 0.4/0.8/1.2/1.6 to 1/1.3/1.6/1.9

- Smoke Screen causes enemy vision to be reduced by 50% if they stay in the AoE for more than 1 second. The vision is reverted to normal on leaving the Smoke Screen AoE

Sand King
- Sand King now explodes on death, dealing the current level of Caustic Finale damage and applying the debuff to enemies hit by it
- Caustic Finale debuff duration increased from 8 to 10
- Caustic Finale is no longer considered an orb effect

Shadow Demon
- Shadow Poison cooldown decreased from 2.75 to 2

Shadow Fiend
- Added Aghanim's Scepter: Maximum Soul cap is removed from Necromastery for 10/15/20 seconds after using Requiem of Souls

- Intelligence steal AoE increased from 900 to 1000
- Curse of the Silent AoE increased from 350 to 400
- Glaives of Wisdom is no longer considered an unique attack modifier

Skywrath Mage
- Concussive Shot duration now scales from 4 to 4/4.25/4.5/4.75
- Ancient Seal cast range increased from 700 to 800
- Magic immune heroes no longer decrease the damage done by Mystic Flare if they are standing in the AoE

- Sprint cooldown decreased from 28 to 25 seconds
- Amplify Damage is no longer dispelled by Manta Style

- Enabled in Captain's Mode
- Turn rate increased from 0.5 to 0.8
- Essence Shift duration increased from 15/30/60/120 to 40/60/80/120

- Attack range increased from 550 to 600
- Take Aim bonus range decreased from 80/160/240/320 to 50/100/200/300
- Enemies can no longer see Assassinate's debuff
- Assassinate true sight now lasts for 1.5 seconds after the target has been hit

Spirit Breaker
- Greater Bash chance decreased from 17% to 14%
- Empowering Haste movement speed bonus increased from 6%/10%/14%/18% to 8%/12%/16%/20%
- Each allied Hero affected by Empowering Haste now increases the bash chance of Greater Bash by 0.5%/1%/1.5%/2% (Meepo clones and illusions won't increase the chance)

- Dying no longer removes God's Strength

- Armor increased by 2
- Gush cooldown decreased from 12 to 12/11/10/8
- Ravage damage type changed from Magical to Physical
- Ravage cooldown decreased from 150 to 150/140/130

- Craggy Exterior range increases by 100/150/200 as Tiny levels up Grow

- Rearm manacost rescaled from 150/250/350 to 100/175/350

Treant Protector
- Attack range increased from 128 to 150
- Leech Seed mana cost rescaled from 140 to 100/115/125/140
- Healing from Leech Seed no longer stops if the target turns magic immune (the slow and damage are still blocked)
- Overgrowth mana cost decreased from 150/175/200 to 75/125/175

Troll Warlord
- Both versions of Whirling Axes now have a 13 second cooldown
- Battle Trance duration increased from 7 to 10 seconds
- Battle Trance mana cost increased from 75 to 100

- Snowball cooldown decreased from 21 to 18 seconds
- Snowball chase duration increased from 3 seconds to 3.5
- Snowball AoE increases by 20 per second for each Hero unit inside it. This includes Meepo clones but not illusions
-Frozen Sigil cooldown decreased from 50 seconds to 40
- Each 120 AoE added to Snowball as it travels increases its main target stun duration by 0.25 second and secondary target stun durations by 0.1 seconds
- Added Aghanim's Scepter: Increases air duration to 2/3/4 seconds, decreases cooldown to 24/18/12. 35% of the damage dealt to the main target is dealt around it in a 225 AoE after it lands

- Decay now steals 4% attack speed and 4 strength
- Decay stealing stats is no longer blocked by magic immunity (only the damage is blocked)

- Upheaval cooldown decreased from 50 to 32
- Upheaval now slows both attack speed and movement speed
- Effects of Upheaval end instantly after leaving the AoE, instead of after a 3 second delay

- The Swarm cooldown decreased from 36/33/30/27 to 35/30/25/20
- Geminate Attack's second attack now deals 50% damage, but will deal 100% damage if the target has a Swarm beetle on it

- Focus Fire mana cost decreased from 200/300/400 to 125/250/350

Witch Doctor
- Maledict cast range increased from 525 to 600
- Maledict now uses a 0.55 second cast point
- Voodoo Restoration now heals in 0.1 second intervals instead of 0.33 (healing per second stays the same)
- Death Ward vision range decreased from 1200/800 to 900/900
- Death Ward now has flying vision
- Fixed Soul Ring interaction with Voodoo Restoration
- Fixed Death Ward's attacks doing nothing if Death Ward was cancelled when the projectile was already flying in the air

Wraith King
- Agility growth increased from 1.7 to 2.3
- Vampiric Aura lifesteal increased from 15%/20%/25%/30% to 15%/25%/30%/40%
- Vampiric Aura now lifesteals magic damage dealt by Wraith King for half of the normal lifesteal
- Reincarnation cooldown decreased from 260/160/60 to 120/80/60
- Reincarnation slow duration increased from 4 to 5 seconds

- Plague Ward base attack time increased from 1.5 to 2.0
- Plague Ward vision decreased from 1200/1200 to 1000/1000
- Poison Sting no longer slows magic immune units

- Poison Attack mana cost increased from 20 to 30
- Turn rate increased from 0.4 to 0.8

- Grave Chill movement speed drain rescaled from 32% to 20%/24%/28%/32%
- Grave Chill attack speed drain rescaled from 64% to 34%/44%/54%/64%

- Cast point improved from 0.4 to 0.3
- Arc Lightning cooldown reduced from 1.75 to 1.75/1.65/1.55/1.45
- Lightning Bolt cast range increased from 700 to 850
- Ligtning Bolt no longer has unit targeting, it is now only a point targeted spell. The spell now deals its damage and stuns in a 175 AoE. If the ability doesn't damage any enemy units when cast it gives vision but no true sight
- Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath vision and true sight duration increased from 3 to 4 seconds


Aghanim's Scepter
- Price decreased from 4200 to 4050

Arcane Boots
- Price increased from 1450 to 1500

- Price decreased from 5500 to 5350

Energy Booster
- Price increased from 1000 to 1050

Ethereal Blade
- Price decreased from 4900 to 4750
- Now uses a Soul Booster instead of an Eaglesong
- New stats are:
350 HP
350 Mana
+4 Hp regeneration
+100% Mana regeneration
+7 Strength
+7 Agility
+7 Intelligence

Eye of Skadi
- Price decreased from 5675 to 5475

Hand of Midas
- Attack speed reduced from 30 to 15

Heart of Tarrasque
- Price decreased from 5500 to 5450

- Fixed chain lightning not being able to proc if a chain lightning was already in effect
- Static Charge lightning chance increased from 20% to 25%

- Recipe now has a restock time of 2 minutes. The stock starts at 3 recipes. All recipes in stock must be bought before they are refilled again.

Orb of Venom
- Price decreased from 275 to 225

Point Booster
- Price decreased from 1200 to 1050

Rod of Atos
- Price decreased from 3100 to 3050

Shiva's Guard
- Arctic Blast radius increased from 719 to 900

Soul Booster
- Price decreased from 3300 to 3150

Urn of Shadows
- Damage and healing from multiple urn charges now stacks
- Can now be cast on magic immune enemies

Tranquil Boots
- Broken boots restore time decreased from 13 to 10 seconds

- Price decreased from 2225 to 2175
- The item now has an active ability that can be cast on an allied unit (Heroes, creeps or buildings) to give them the item's damage block for 7 seconds. The owner of the item will not benefit from the item's damage block while this buff is in effect, but still get its other bonuses. Has a cooldown of 30 seconds and 50 mana cost.

Veil of Discord
- Magic weakness AoE increased from 600 to 650

Vitality Booster
- Price decreased from 1100 to 1050
